Private Insurance
HEALTH FUNDS
At Winthrop Village Dental Centre, we are preferred providers for all major health funds. We are a preferred provider for Bupa Members First Platinum, Medibank Private Members’ Choice, HBF, CBHS, NIB, DVA and are part of the HCF “More for Teeth” program. If you are a member of any of these health funds, you can be rest assured that your out of pocket cost will be kept to a minimum and in some cases there will be no out of pocket costs. We have been selected by these health funds and agree to uphold their fee schedules and also provide the very best in patient care and dental treatment. The Health funds also pay you a higher rebate for all your dental treatment at Winthrop Village Dental Centre compared to another dentist who isn’t part of their network. This ensures you have peace of mind in regards to cost when visiting Winthrop Village Dental Centre.
Bupa Members First Platinum
As the only Bupa Members First Platinum Provider in Winthrop – our Bupa patients with general dental combined with hospital cover do not pay anything out of pocket for a range of services including check-ups, cleans, fluoride treatments, mouth guards and most routine screening x-rays (up to yearly limits). Further, you will get between 60-100%* back on most treatments with us. However, this will depend on your level of coverage and your annual limits, which you will have to confirm with Bupa. In addition, if you have hospital and extras cover, we can potentially provide your children with “Gap Free” dental for most treatments, leaving you with no out of pocket expenses for your children if they are under your cover with certain policies. This is up to the age of 25 years old. Please be mindful that most other dentists are not part of the Bupa Members First Platinum provider network and as such you may have much bigger out of pocket costs with them.

Medibank Private Members’ Choice
As the only Medibank Members’ Choice Provider in Winthrop,- our Medibank patients have minimal to no out of pocket costs for preventative treatments including check-ups, cleans and most routine screening X-rays. You will also get significantly higher rebates on most treatments and in addition to this, our treatment costs at Winthrop Village Dental Centre are much lower as we adhere to the Medibank Private fee schedule. Please be mindful that most other dentists are not part of the Medibank Private Member’s Choice provider network and as such you may have much bigger out of pocket costs with them.

Hicaps – Fast Health Insurance Claims
Winthrop Village Dental Centre has Hicaps onsite. HICAPS enables patients to make fast and easy insurance claims on the spot after their treatment. It also enables us to provide you a quote with exactly how much out of pocket costs you will have.
