“I grew up in Perth and studied here as well. When I graduated I went up to Geraldton for 4 years because I was itching to get away from home, and since then I’ve worked in many different clinics, treating people from all different backgrounds.
What I’ve learnt is that no matter where you go, everyone is the same- people want to be really listened to and cared for in a kind way.
People who are especially scared of the dentist want to know that you’ll remember it’s a big deal for them, and that you’ll be relaxed, gentle and patient with them.
I want my patients to walk out thinking- wow that wasn’t as bad as I thought, I wouldn’t mind going back to the dentist again next time.”
Dr Michelle obtained her dental degree at the University of Western Australia with Honours in 2014. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry, with an interest in minimally invasive and adhesive dentistry, and loves helping kids of all ages develop a positive attitude towards seeing the dentist.

Outside of dentistry you can find her buried in a book, at the gym or playing guitar and drums. She is also a passionate plant mum and enjoys cooking for her friends and family.

In 1999 after completing his Australian Dental Council examinations in Melbourne, Dr Jake returned to Perth and set-up Winthrop Village Dental Centre the following year. He has been a member of Australian Dental Association since 1999.
Dr Jake has completed intensive dental implant surgical training in the U.S.A. under Fellowship program of the University of Miami. He is happiest when dentistry translates into a positive improvement in the patient's life and happiness.
Dr Jake adopts a holistic approach in treating his patients, being careful to tailor treatment plans suitable for each patient and is trained to look beyond just the teeth when providing care for his patients.
Whenever a patient raises concerns about their oral health and appearance of the oral and peri-oral area, Dr Jake is careful to exclude teeth bruxing, clenching habits and possible sleep disorders which may also require attention.
Only the best approved up-to-date techniques are used by Dr Mitra in providing patients with their treatment needs.
Dr Jake provides painless dental implant placements using keyhole surgery based on 3D xrays and 3D scans of the mouth. These are based on latest computer based surgical planning that greatly improves safety and accuracy. This method eliminates free-hand errors as placements of implants are guided with pin-point accuracy by using 3D printing to produce custom-made keyhole surgical guides before the date of surgery.
